Alicante is a vibrant city, loads of nightlife if that's your thing.
Head up towards the main church you'll find some really nice squares with good bars and restaurants.Aviod the main promenade it's the worst part.
Harbour has some good seafood restaurants and nice for a stroll.
Parking if you're driving a mare.

Actually I went to Benidorm, which is in Alicante.
Great beach and good night life back then, I was 17 at the time that was 35 years ago mind.

Doubt if they're are still there but there was a club called Harrods, talk of the south (TOTS) and talk of the Bahamas as well as many others, had a good time.....

Only ever been there on business. It has what looked like one of the smallest beaches I have ever seen, but there are much bigger and far better beaches just outside.

The older parts of town stretch up away from the beach and look pretty lively.

However, I spent each visit either in meetings or necking beer around the hotel and beach

Nice cosmopolitan city although I've only been there during the day so no idea of nightlife.
